Okay, help please?

I've just checked my emails and I had 57, I checked them only a few days ago. Reason there's so many? This forum sends my an email everytime somebody posts in a thread I've posted in. Anyway to turn this off? Please?

Is it the stop watching this topic button at the bottom to stop it? And if it is, do I need to press that with every thread I post in? Is there a way to make it not send you email, unless I guess changing your email on here to a wrong email or junking them.

Junking mails probably , or use a fake E-mail adress

If you go to profile it's in the preferences tab

Thanks, and there is an option in preferances for it to not send you emails.

Ah good. That reminds me... I should probably check my email... oh no, it'll probably be full of Spamfaqs xD

LOL! I normally have a feck load of spam email so even after a few days I'll have over 300 emails. After a few days I've got more than 800 xD and even more in my junk email box...

Okay, it hasn't worked but it does say on every email, that you can stop the emails for each thread by clicking the 'stop watching this thread' (just above the quick reply box in the corner) or clicking the link on the email.

So...does it work?

It worked for me ._.

I sort of did for me, I now don't automatically 'watch' threads I post in but I had to click 'stop watching topic' for all the thread's I posted in before I changed my settings as it didn't automatically change those. (It sends you emails for thread's you're 'watching')

Just discovered a faster way to stop watching all the threads you posted in before you changed your settings - or get any you missed. In the top right hand corner of the page, there is a small button called 'Actions !', click it then 'Topic(s) being watched' on the submenu. From there just check all the boxes and click 'stop watching selected topics'

I used to think emails were old fashioned since I never used them but apparently loads of people use them :3
